Access to your financial information is limited to employees with a legitimate need to know the information. Our employees are educated on a regular basis on the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.
Disclosure of Information to Unaffiliated Third Parties
We will not disclose information about your finances to an unaffiliated third party unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; (3) we are required to do so by law; or (4) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.
We may share personal information with business vendors and service companies only if that information is needed to provide a product or service that you requested. As an example, in order to receive your Visa Check Card(s) we provide only the necessary information to the appropriate vendor or service company so that this service may be provided. Our business vendors and service providers are required to the protection and privacy efforts concerning customer information as directed by State Bank & Trust Company and they must abide by applicable law.
We may also sell business assets, such as loans or servicing rights. In these cases, we may transfer related customer information to the purchaser.
Internet Privacy
As a visitor to our Web site, you need not be concerned about privacy of your personal information. Our site does not require you to disclose any personally identifying information. If, however, you choose to contact us via e-mail, please keep in mind that your e-mail address, and any other information your e-mail header shows about you, such as your name or organization, will be revealed to us in the e-mail. When you communicate with us, we will use your e-mail information only for the specific purpose of responding to your comments or questions. Online Banking Security
State Bank & Trust Company is committed to keeping your information private and secure. However, you can play an important role in helping us maintain this security by following these simple guidelines:
1) Never give your PIN Number to anyone. The Bank’s staff will never ask for your PIN number.
2) Do not store your PIN number or other sensitive data on your computer.
3) Log out of “INTERNET BANKING” when you are finished using it. State Bank will log you off automatically after ten minutes of inactivity.
If you feel your PIN number has been compromised, let us know immediately by calling 1-800-683-2978 or 406-683-2393. Do not send us this information via e-mail.
State Bank & Trust Company uses multiple levels of security for online banking, starting with the use of a unique user ID and password assigned to each customer. Once connected to our Internet Banking services, your browser uses a 128-bit encryption (the highest level available) to make information entered unreadable during communication with our computers. The systems at our end are protected by state of the art firewalls and other security measures which act as a virtual information vault for all information and transactions you enter.
